Eclipse Rollout
Eclipse Aviation unveiled, or 'rolled out', the first production Very Light Jet (VLJ) at their headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition to the unveiling ceremony, 2,500 guests were invited to a separate reception and a small group of VIP's attended a dinner at the CEO's home the evening of the rollout. Mach 2 Management was brought on to manage several key aspects of the weekend's events.
Mach 2 was provided an invitation list of close to 4,000 names of deposit holders, investors, suppliers and politicians, including the President of the United States, for distribution and management. A dedicated toll-free number and e-mail address were created to accept reservations. Bar-coded credentials were produced, lanyards designed and a color-coded system was developed to easily identify the different guests: VIPs, Customers, Investors, Suppliers and Employees. Credential packages were packaged and shipped to each registered attendee prior to the event. Mach 2 was also tasked with the overall layout of the ceremony which involved the placement of nine different elements, including the position of the jet.
Transportation and hotel arrangements for all guests were also secured and managed by Mach 2. To meet their unique needs, guests were categorized into three types of transportation groups; shuttle buses were used to run from point of arrival at Albuquerque's International Sunport airport and various private airports to each guest's hotel, the reception, the rollout ceremony and private dinners. Luxury vehicles with drivers were also provided for VIP guests. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by a Mach 2 host and received a custom welcome package in their hotel. Around-the-clock Mach 2 staffed concierge services were provided at each hotel as well.
Specialty bleachers, chairs, welcome and hospitality tents, stage and podium, media platform, emcee, radios and elegant restroom trailers for the early morning outdoor ceremony were needed for a flawless event. An intermittent shuttle schedule was created for guest convenience from the hotels to the ceremony to prevent long entry lines. Mach 2 also staffed the welcome tent, which served as the attendee check-in and where credentials were scanned. Breakfast was provided prior to the ceremony where guests were ushered to the seating area. Mach 2 managed the special needs of all guests before, during and after the ceremony.
